Mohamed Hureyre, Local Governance, Civic Engagement and Service Delivery Consultant at the Ministry of Interior of Galmudug State, played a key coordination and facilitation role in the official presentation and workshop on the Bulsho Project, held in Dhusamareb.
The workshop was officially opened by the Minister of Interior, Federal Affairs and Reconciliation of Galmudug State, Mr. Abdi Mohamed Jama (Abdi Waayeel). The event brought together senior government officials and local government representatives to discuss the objectives, priorities and implementation arrangements of the project.
In his role, Mohamed Hureyre served as a key focal point and event coordinator, supporting the overall organization of the workshop from logistics and participant coordination to facilitation and communication among the relevant stakeholders. His contribution helped ensure the smooth and effective delivery of the event.
The workshop focused on strengthening government-community collaboration, promoting meaningful citizen participation, and supporting the development and effectiveness of district administrations across Galmudug.
Participants included the Deputy Minister of the Galmudug Ministry of Interior, Federal Affairs and Reconciliation; the Director General of Somalia’s Ministry of Interior, Federal Affairs and Reconciliation; the Director General of the Galmudug Ministry of Interior; the Regional Governor; and district mayors from across Galmudug.
During the discussions, government officials emphasized the importance of the Bulsho Project in improving public services, strengthening local governance, enhancing cooperation between government institutions and communities, and building more effective and responsive district administrations.
Mohamed Hureyre’s role in coordinating and facilitating the workshop reflects his broader professional engagement in local governance, civic engagement and service delivery, with a particular focus on strengthening coordination between government institutions, local authorities, communities and development partners.
